Ready for some more jersey fun? Rumors and photos of Oregon's new jerseys
Just when you thought things couldn't get any more bizarre in college football jersey land.
Nike last week debuted a new one game preview of their new college football idea, the uni-sleeve concept worn by Virginia Tech & Florida. It has been rumored that Oregon was also among the teams that will wear this look during the 2005 season.
Now rumors are coming out about what could be the new look for the Oregon football team, straight out of Beaverton.
MightyOregon.com has this photo of a new Oregon jersey.

This harkens back to the jersey worn in the late 90's by the Joey Harrington led Ducks, although the number design looks straight out of the 2nd grade scissors cutting academy.
Don’t know if this is truly going to be the new Oregon jersey, or just some design idea from someone at Nike. But either way, it’s just getting more bizarre up there in Eugene in regards to uniform design.

They look like the hypothetical uniforms for the "Followers of the Communist Frog God Academy"'s intramural squad.

I am not impressed with them and I am a fan. I dont think that they will make the cut. I am proud that my team is not afraid to try new things. If someone dosent have the balls to try new thing than things would never change. You all sound like my grandparents. Oregon is once again building a strong young football team that looks verry promising. I hope in the years to come that the ducks keep trying to puth what you know today as collage football style. Someone has to!!!

The diamond-plate is kind of fitting, since they looked like a flatbed the other day against OSU... Though I will say I'm a proud owner of a Neon Yellow Clemens jersey and I'm trying to find this one right now.

They didn't look bad at all during the Oregon Vs. Oregon State game. First off, the above pic is missing the word "Ducks" in the area above the 96. In fact this picture doesn't do the uniform justice. Both CBS commentators were raving about how good the unis looked, and that they might even be the best in the country. Tune in to the Holiday Bowl vs. Oklahoma to get a good look at the whole uniform before you make up your mind.
