Heisman hopefuls under the knife
First it was Oklahoma RB Adrian Peterson having shoulder surgery.
Peterson will definitely miss spring practice, but that's not such a big deal for a running back if he does his conditioning.
Now Southern Cal QB Matt Leinart is consulting with his physicians & contemplating elbow surgery. Leinart didn't throw last summer because of tendinitis. It was so bad during training camp & practice that he had to limit his practice throws for the first half of the season. If Leinart goes ahead with the surgery, he would likely miss most of spring practice.
