tOSU-tPSU Week Heating Up!

You do know that it's official name is The Pennsylvania State University, right? So why haven't we been granting them the 't' prefix pleasantry like we do Ohio State? Probably because no one makes a big deal about dotting the 'i' in Pennsylvania? Who knows? But unless someone beats Iowa and soon, this week's nascent grudge match between the Quaker and Buckeye states will be for 2nd place in the Big 10(11).

One would think that these teams had been playing forever, but you'd be wrong. Until tPSU joined the conference in 1993, they ducked each other like Notre Dame ducked everyone in the Big 10(11). Despite their status as elites in the first 100 years of CFB, these heavyweights only tangled eight times before the annual conference match began, with tPSU enjoying a 6-2 lead over the Nuts. Things changed quick soon after, and the series in now tied 12-12, with tOSU enjoying a 5-3 margin on The Vest's watch.

We'll know it's a hit if Bergwood shows up wearing one in the next Allstate commercial. Before he takes off streaking...
