Purdue to stick with grass field for Ross-Ade Stadium
Despite Purdue football coach Joe Tiller's campaigning for the Boilermakers to junk the grass & install an artificial surface, it looks like Ross-Ade Stadium is going to remain a grass field.
Athletic director Morgan Burke said in an interview last week Purdue will keep the PAT surface next season, adding that agronomy experts have assured him the soft, lumpy surface was caused by an unusually hot summer that stretched into fall.
