Auburn Tops SEC; LSU Recruits
With the start of the season at the end of this month, things are starting to pick up around the SEC.
Alabama
The dog that just won't die, the Mike Price Scandal, rears its ugly head in the media again this week with Alabama asking a judge to dismiss former Coach Price's suit, claiming that the University, as a state institution, is immune to such suits.
Auburn
Voters at SEC Media Days, picked Auburn to win the conference title, beating Georgia who was picked to win the SEC east. Auburn was named on 45 of 78 ballots, but has had trouble in the past cashing in on pre-season promise. Maybe this will be the year they pass Georgia Tech in SEC Conference Titles?
Florida

Georgia
Pulling off a top-10 preseason ranking in the Coach's Poll is great for the reigning Conference Champions, but they're picked to finish behind Auburn in the SEC this year. The Dawgs will be lead by David Greene, a Junior Quarterback who has just been named to the Davey O'Brien watch list for the upcoming season. Greene, despite being last season's First Team All-SEC QB, is a pre-season second teamer, behind Ole Miss' Eli Manning.
LSU
Speaking of second place divisional finishes... voters at the SEC Media Days don't think that LSU's top recruiting class in the nation will help them edge out Auburn this year.
South Carolina
Holtz and company missed the SEC Media Days event when their pilot called off the flight due to threatening weather. Holtz's days on the sidelines may be numbered, however, with his wife's health starting to falter.
