Football Fashion Faux Pas
I traveled to Georgia this past weekend to see Alabama play Georgia, and left very concerned about the state of fashion in Athens. It turns out that a large number of college-aged men (the locals tell me that it's a fraternity thing) in Athens wear hideous red pants that make Bozo the Clown look GQ. Observe:

The sad thing is that the Athens Banner Herald found the guys that looked the LEAST odd in these monstrosities of fashion. My question is this: is there an uglier football tradition ANYWHERE? (Oregon's uniforms notwithstanding)

The really amazing thing is...what's with all the navy blue?! The guys are wearing red/navy ties and one guy seems to have red/navy shirt. I thought UGA was red/black -- not red/navy!

Kevin should note that the picture shows them wearing red/black, not red/navy...might want to check the contrast/color on your monitor there. I've never seen red/blue ties worn at UGA games, and I've been to plenty of them.
You'll never see me in red pants. I love red, but that is ridiculous.

Perhaps if I turn off the monitor occassionally my eyes wouldn't bleed. :)Pete Holiday says:

As for LSU -- I can buy that uglier outfits exist... but is there an uglier TRADITION? I mean... sure, it doesn't get much worse than Mardi Gras colors, but until I see pictures of LSU Frat Boys wearing purple pants I'm going to have to give the nod to Georgia's red pants.
