UGA's Shockley out for the season

Georgia's backup QB D.J. Shockley will have knee surgery this week and miss the rest of the season.

Shockley has been Marc Richt's choice as the second QB in Georgia's rotating system most of the year. The sophomore has played in every game for the Bulldogs this season. Last year, Shockley went down with a broken foot and missed four games. He faces six months of rehabilitation, which would keep him out of spring practice next year.

Redshirt freshman Joe Tereshinski III, who hasn't thrown a pass in a college game, is now the backup.
