Tide's Avalos Suspended
After Tuesday's practice Alabama Coach Mike Shula announced that Brandon Avalos, the Tide's third-string quarterback, would be suspended for the rest of the season for violating team rules. I've not seen any speculation as to what rules those were yet.
This comes just as second-string quarterback Spencer Pennington is set to return from an injury sustained against Georgia. Shula has indicated that he doesn't think Pennington will be 100% on Saturday against Mississippi State University. Also returning to the line-up will be back up freshman running back Kenneth Darby, who was injured against Ole Miss.

Maybe Lowder can hire Spurrier at the end of the season. He would be a great fit for Auburn.
