Breaking news Re: LSU vs Bama
According to Paul Finebaum, a sportswriter in Alabama who also hosts a statewide radio show, Alabama's 2nd string running back Ray Hudson has been arrested or ticketed on some type of Marijuana possession charge.
Hudson is currently number 2 on the depth chart for the Crimson Tide, and an already thin Bama team might have just gotten one man thinner on the depth chart at running back.
LSU faces Alabama in a critical SEC Western Division Showdown on Saturday. Alabama comes in with nothing left to play for but pride, and perhaps to play the infamous spoiler role. With a guaranteed losing season in first year head coach Mike Shula's initial go round in Tuscaloosa, they will attempt to derail LSU's SEC Western Division Title Hopes, as well as their SEC overall quest, and perhaps even a darkhorse shot at the national title.
LSU will look to reverse a trend of off week off-kilter performances. The last two games coming off of an off week for LSU have not been kind to the Bengal Tigers. They lost 31-0 at the hands of Alabama at home last year, and earlier this year, Florida handed LSU it's lone loss on the year, a 19-7 stinker in Death Valley.
Alabama hopes the trend continues, and LSU hopes to buck that trend.
Kickoff is set for 6:45, and the game will be televised by ESPN.

Which has been true of their season since, oh, August or so. ;-)

Additionally, this article from Alabama's student news paper points to starting TE David Cavan being out for the season with a knee injury suffered agasints Mississippi State.

But, only the mentally ill and feeble minded of you out there truly believe that your last "mathematical possibility" can happen.
My prediction?
LSU-38

I swear...

The only thing that shocked me about LSU was how quickly the RBs hit the holes. Everything else was good, but nothing that makes me sream "national champion."
I can't wait to see what happens for the Ole Miss game.
