Auburn loads up on Irons
RB Kenny Irons, who was just recently granted a release of his scholarship from South Carolina, announced the he would transfer to Auburn. Irons left USC because he wasn't getting enough playing time.
Irons will sit out the 2004 season for the Tiegers, but will have two years of eligibility remaining. Kenny’s brother David, a cornerback, will also join the Tiger program next season as a JUCO transfer.
I guess having the most guys named Irons on the team is one way to try to win the Iron Bowl.
