Flatt Likely to Start for Rebels

Michael Spurlock spent two years as the heir apparent to Eli Manning at Ole Miss. Now after just two games as the starter, he appears to have lost that position to sophomore Ethan Flatt.

Rebels head coach David Cutcliffe said Flatt would "probably" start on Saturday against Vanderbilt in Oxford.

Spurlock has struggled in both of the Rebels' games--Ole Miss lost both of them--so far this season. He was pulled from the game last Saturday night (a 28-7 loss to Alabama) in the second half and replaced by Flatt, who completed 5 of 12 passes for 63 yards and one touchdown.
