Fancy yourself as Florida's next head coach?

Think you have what it takes to be the Head Football Coach at the University of Florida?

Well, step up to the plate then, and send in your application.

No, it's not a joke or a prank. In a situation that I'm sure was created due to a state law and Florida being a Public University, UF has posted the position of "Head Coach for Football" in the jobs section of Florida's website.

So get that resume dusted off, tweak your playbook on NCAA Football 2005 and get your package together and sent in, as I imagine that applicants are piling up.

   Florida is the new Nebraska. The days of big dogs ruling the Collge Football world are over. Floridas Nebraskas and others that have been so dominant the past, oh, century expect that level of dominance to continue.

   When the reality of todays scholarship limits and paraty across the board catch up with them, they fire the good coaches that were drawn to the good programs. Then no one wants the high expectations no one can live up to, and they are stuck with what ever is left.

   Florida, like Nebraska before them, thought their job was wonderful and any good coach would want it. Welcome to the 21st century. Not even their beloved Spurrier is interested.

   Florida was not dominant for a century. In fact, before Spurrier came along, Florida wasn't much of a program.

   They stole this idea from Buddy D, the mouth of the south at the BIG 870, WWL in N'arlins: Get a bunch of Prospective Coaches in a Reality TV Series that's sorta cross between "The Apprentice" and "Survivor". The last one to escape has to coach the sAints for a year.
