When was the last time Vandy was "must win"?

Tennessee enters this week's game with Vandy with one thought: must win. Now honestly, when was the last time that the Vandy game was "must win"?! Tennessee LB Kevin Burnett takes it one step futher: jobs are on the line for the coaches.

Why all the fuss? UT needs one more win to make it to the SEC title game for a rematch with Auburn. To get there, they need to win one more SEC game. The Vols could lose to Vandy and still beat KY for a title berth, but I doubt Vol fans would accept a Vandy loss. So, for several reasons, Vandy is a must win game.

   1997 to go to SEC Championship game.

   1998 to continue undefeated season and play for national title.

   It's been must win before...but not so much that it would save coaches jobs.
