A look ahead to Croom II
One of my favorite SEC blogs, Mississippi State Sports Blog, notes that no one involved with the Mississippi State football program (players or coaches!) has had a winning season in Starkville and gives a look at what it will take to resurrect the Bulldogs:
I think we're a Pro-style QB, a defensive and offensive line, 3 SEC-caliber WR's, and solid linebacker corp away from being a bowl team.
Oh, that's all, huh?

No doubt that Croom knows what it takes, but if he doesn't pick from some JuCo talent, it will be a three plus year rebuild. As you pointed out, I don't know if anyone in Starkville has that much patience left with this team.
