Spurrier Changes S.C. Uniforms

South Carolina Coach Steve Spurrier told the AP that he would make the 2nd uniform change in the past 2 years for the Gamecocks.

As far as uniforms, always a big topic among South Carolina fans, Spurrier sketched out his plans to use all the school's basic colors of white, garnet and black - white helmets with the block "C" and Gamecock logo; garnet jerseys with names on the back and "Carolina" on the front; stripes on the pants and no long socks like you see in the pros.

The Gamecocks wore black helmets and uniforms for the 2004 season.

I have to admit that I've always liked the white helmets better.

The white helmets were good. I'd like to see South Carolina go to a Penn State-esque garnet & white.
