Holtz gives bowl pep talk to Wisconsin
Dressed in a Notre Dame pullover sweatshirt, former Notre Dame & South Carolina Head Coach Lou Holtz stood before the Wisconsin Badgers and gave a quick pep talk before their practice for this week's Outback Bowl.
Holtz was invited to speak to the team by Head Coach Barry Alvarez. Alvarez was an assistant coach for Holtz during their time at Notre Dame. Holtz & Alvarez spent time discussing the Georgia Bulldogs, whom Holtz has coached against for seven straight seasons.
Afterwards, former Tampa Bay Devil Rays 1B Fred McGriff drove up in a black Mercedes, stopped his car, rolled down his window and shouted, "Lou Holtz is my favorite coach!"
Me too, Crime Dog, me too.
