Perriloux Hooks Horns, Picks LSU

Top-rated QB Ryan Perriloux, who had previously committed to Texas but wavered in recent weeks, has signed with LSU. This salvages (at least on paper) what appeared to be a disappointing recruiting class for the Tigers. Some fans, however, (including this author), fear that all the hype may portend the second coming of the much-ballyhooed chronic underperformer Josh Booty, but only time will tell.

UT fans (most notably those who post on message boards)are understandably somewhat less enthused.
