Fanblogs to be represented in the FWAA

Just a quick note to say that after some prodding from a few new contacts in the media, I have joined the Football Writers Association of America. While I'm not entirely sure that Tony Barnhardt and Dennis Dodd are ready for this little blogger man joining them at media day events, I'm coming - ready or not.

With this being our third season at Fanblogs, I think college football blogs are slowly developing enough credibility in the blog world to begin pushing for greater access. I'm hopeful that this step, along with a few others that I'm not ready to talk about just yet, will help all of us as college football fans get a better perspective on our teams.

I suppose it's a nice fringe benefit that I'll represent Fanblogs and cast an media vote for the 25-man FWAA All-America Team, Outland Trophy, Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

I wish I could say that this is a product of my writing talents, but we all know that's not the case. So, once again, I'd like to thank everyone that stops by occassionallyoccassionally and shares our links with your friends on the blogs & message boards out there. Without you, none of this would be possible.
