Spurrier: South Carolina likely to get NCAA sanctions
South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier told reporters that it was possible that the Gamecocks could lose up to three scholarships and could be subject to additional sanctions stemming from an ongoing NCAA investigation. The NCAA is looking into academic eligibility questions involving players as many as five years ago.
"The only thing I heard is we may lose two or three scholarships," Spurrier said in a meeting with local print reporters. "Then they’ll take that and move on."
Other school sources said there are no specific time lines or potential sanctions under official consideration at this time.

Spurrier will almost certainly boot them now, regardless of how the tests come out. He'll do anything to avoid further sanctions.

Hey Dawg Fan, you might want to worry about your own program and the puppies record against Spurrier. He loves to kick your tails and will love to do it even more in your own house, as opposed to neutral ground. BTW, do you recall the last time he coached in Sanford? Gave you all your worst home loss in school history...think about it.

The "un-offical" word ...
Still nothing. Apparently, the testing requires them to submit tests on
back-to-back days and it generally takes about a week. Spurrier may have
spoken too soon last week when he said it would be a couple days.
