DEA withdraws from event over new S.C. drug policy

John Ozaluk, special agent in charge for South Carolina for the DEA, has withdrawn his agency's sponsorship of a scholarship golf tournament because of the athletic department's new "4 strikes" drug policy.

The tournament was scheduled for October and would benefit a scholarship named for a S.C. alum who was killed in the line of duty as a DEA agent.

Today's Columbia newspaper also takes on the new policy.
