We suck: Temple coach throws in towel
This is not a good year to be a Temple Owls football fan. First it was the unequivocal shame of being removed from the Big East, ten the Owls go 0-6 to start the season, and now, even the coach has had enough.
"Losing will wear on you and we've lost a lot of games," Wallace said.Wallace said he met with athletic director Bill Bradshaw last week to talk about his future. He said he made the decision now to give Temple a jump start on finding a new coach.
"If I waited until the end of the season, it would be unethical for Bill to talk to anyone right now," Wallace said. "I want to give them the opportunity to hire somebody."
Wallace won three national championships at D-II North Alabama and it's thought that he might venture back into coaching after his stint at Temple.

One quote from the AP article is an eye opener.
"I didn't know what I was getting into"
Uh, Temple's record in the 90's wasn't at least a hint in that direction?
At least he's making a step to amend years of losing by giving them a chance to find another coach mid-year.
