Longhorns to wear bluebonnet decals

To honor the Johnson family following the recent death of former first lady Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson, the University of Texas football team will wear bluebonnet decals on their helmets this year.

The Johnsons were noted fans of the program, and support of the idea was given by the full team.

"Coach Royal has talked to me about countless stories where he and President Johnson sat and talked about our team and our quarterbacks and all that it meant," Brown added. "[Equipment manager] Chip Robertson came up with it, obviously the influence that the First Lady had with wildflowers all across the country, so we thought it was a great idea. Obviously the President was very involved with civil rights back in the '60s. It was something that George Wynn presented to our team [Sunday] night, and our team was 100 percent unanimous that the Johnsons should have a place on the helmets."

The bluebonnet is the official flower of the State of Texas and it was Lady Bird Johnson who helped begin the tradition of seeding bluebonnets along Texas highways.

Lady Bird Johnson attended the University of Texas in the 1930s, graduating with honors in 1933.

Lady Bird was also instrumental in getting LBJ to provide your tax dollars to plant flowers along the nations highways, too. The best month to see the Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes along the Texas highways is in March and April. For you Alabama fans, what's the name of the red wildflower that blooms along Alabama's highways in April?

I'm truly sorry for the loss of the Johnson and Taylor family but can the city of Austin please take the veil off and come out of mourning. We had memorials for a week, we renamed a local lake after her, now players will sport a bluebonnet on their helmets. I'm not trying to be a cynic but I'm just ready to move on. I may be to young but I've listened and read all the things that Lady Bird did and I'm just not that moved by it all, like I said could be my age. I think the things she did was good but nothing that really impacted America. I apologize if I offend anyone.

Imagine what Ladybird and L.B.J. would have done if not for the funding failure of the Great Society. Wars have a tendency to drain a budget do they not?

K-State vs Texas in a couple of weeks will be fun. I'm sure both teams will be ready to throw down. I doubt we'll see a Texas drives end with a quarterback sneaks on the goal line though.

    Peace.

Lennie, if ut is so bad, what team do you like that's so great? Us real fans support our teams through good and bad times, not just make fun of other teams because our's is too bad to brag about. You said step strong or don't step at ALL, PERIOD! It isn't stepping strong if you hide the team that you like so no one can make fun of them when they lose like you made fun of Texas when they WON, even if it was just Ark. St. Put up or shut up, hoe.

    Lennie,

HaHaHa comment 8. TX looked horrible. Some good plays though. The way a team learns and changes after game one can be a great barameter of how the team is going to do the rest of the season. TCU should be a good game next week. If TX plays the same, they will get killed. If they improve, and play well, they could look pretty good this season. Still predicting at least 3 losses for TX this season. TCU willl be their game to "prove" themselves.

Well played Sallie, TX did indeed look horrible. TCU will be a good game because they have a great defense, but their offense is bad...really bad and they lost their running back. Sallie I hope your right about three games. Right now I don't think we can beat ou, aTm, and neb. and K-state will be tough they gave Auburn all they could handle. Okl. State will be tough too. So I hope your right. We need to make some serious changes. Thankfully we play UCF after TCU so we can settle down some more and adjust to the changes I pray the coaches will make. I know your an ou fan so deep down I know you really could care less, but I do agree with 14.

I did really well in history and government in high school and college, and I can't recall one really significant thing she did. So if you could remind me please, and if you read my original comment you will see I was by no means trying to be insulting just ready to move on as an Austinite.

Hey Bevo BOY, don't try to act like the NBC peacock and stick out your chest and spread your wings. The only hoe in this conversation is you, Boy! My team is OU, Boy! Bobby, Tomcat, and all others can back me up. I talk good and bad about OU. So, don't act all tough up in Indiana or wherever the heck you are! I live in Austin, Texas. So if you are EVER in Austin, we can be COOL or act like fools. It's all up to you, but don't act tough in front of your computer screen, BOY! I am 39 years old and 220 pounds of muscle. Bobby I agree with you 100% on your comments. I did not take offense what you said in regards to "Lady Bird" Johnson. I agree with you man. When politicians, actors, sports figures, etc die we as a society make a big deal. When these soliders over in IRAQ get killed, so what is the attitude. Some of these people talk tough over the DOGGONE internet! I will talk BUT I will come with facts. When you got to call names you really ain't got JACK to say. I will say it again ut look horrible against Arkansas State but that was Game #1. If ut don't improve TCU is going to beat 'em. I know ut is goin' to get better! OU looked good against North Texas but that was Game #1. Miami is going to be a whole lot BETTER than UNT. If OU think they are going to blow Miami out they are STUPID! So what up NOW BEVO BOY?

Maybe my comments have not been direct enough. I am not a OU fan! I am an Aggie. But I am realistic, and don't predict A&M winning every game they play. A&M has a much better team than last year, but a very tough schedule. Some big upsets will have to come our way to win big 12 south (it should belong to ou). Fun to make fun of tx, but A&M was not impressive either. As a whole, the big 12 has to step up. K-state looked great, but did not finish. They should have won the game, but could not finish the game. Kudos K-State. Experience (coaching and players) will allow you to finish.

    Bevo Boy,

Too funny about about tu fans sticking with their team. Easy to say now because you have had some great talent, seasons, and coach. Fact; tu has fickle fans. Without winning seasons attendance is fair at best, and fans are running faster than Robert Joseph after a typical tu football player heist. tu would play miami, but the parole officers forbid it! Lets calll it straight.

Hey Sallie...The season is earlier! USC & texas did not look impressive in their wins but they should play better. OU, Florida, LSU, Louisville, and West Virginia looked SUPERB in their wins BUT their schedules are going to get tougher. Hey teams can get injuries that can turn their season around. I saw OU game against UNT. If any of OU linebackers or safeties get injuried...OU is not going to be a National Title Contender, PERIOD. Their second string defense needs to improve just in case! So Sallie have hope, girl. This is all our opinions and fun. When people gots to call names they don't have facts. I want ut to improve. When they face OU...I want both teams at FULL STRENGTH, Period! So Saliie keep up your good comments!

Hey Sallie...I can tell you there are fickle fans everywhere. I was stationed in Long Beach, California in 01/89 - 11/89. I used to hangout in the Los Angeles area. I did not see anyone wearing USC, UCLA, or Los Angeles Laker gear. Why? Cause those teams were terrible. I did see a lot of it the night of the UCLA/USC game! Hey that's their choice not mine. I wore my Dallas Cowboys gear and they went 1 -15 that year. I wore my OU gear when they were on probation and getting stomp by teams like: Northwestern, California, and Big 8/12 opponents. I was here when ut was average and had a losing season. Now that ut has won a National Title fans are coming out of the closet. Hey there is nothing wrong with being an out in the open fan or a in the closet fan. So I hope we all just remember it's just a game!

"TCU has won its last five games against Big 12 teams, a streak that started with a season-opening victory at Oklahoma in 2005....While TCU is favored to win its second Mountain West title in three seasons, Baylor hasn't had a winning season since the SWC disbanded after the 1995 season." Do you think the Big 12 missed the boat on this one?

Yes, I think the big 12 missed the boat by leaving out TCU. However, that is in the current state of football programs. I would also like to see some realignment with the north teams. I would like to see Arkansas in the big 12 mix.

And as to why I hadn't posted for a little less than a DAY, that's because up here people actually do things other than stare at a computer. If you like OU so much, then I have a question for you. Do Oklahoma fans feel big by making fun of another team that has a winning record against them? IF Oklahoma ever takes the lead in the Red River Rivalry, then you guys can start making fun of us. 'Till then, shut up and show some respect.

You probably have one of those "Saw 'em off" shirts and TAMU and OU just make fun of Texas because they wish that they were that good. I think ut is AFRAID to schedule teams that will give them a GAME, FACT. C-dogg can back me up on this one. ut has not played MIAMI since that 46 -3 butt whipping. Their excuse, security at the Orange Bowl! Now that Miami is moving to Dolphin's Stadium what will be ut's excuse?! I do not and will not wear anything or put anything on my car that resembles anything about ut, PERIOD! You need to read some of my post before you start running off at the mouth. I know you call yourself Bevo Boy BUT you don't have to act like one! Do some research before you start typing. I got better thing to do with my time BUT the way you sound you must to been refering to yourself in POST #28 you know about having things to do! You waited that long to think of some NONSENSE! I will say it again if you want to talk cool then alright, but if you want to talk fool...KEEP ON STEPPIN! You made fun of OU crimson color...now let's look at ut colors. Their offical school color was orange...EFFEMINATE orange at that. So they changed it to burnt orange to look tough. Do some research on THAT! They were just as silly as the ones you've been posting! There wer more lies told there than at the OJ trail! EXAMPLES - Whack Brown: I am glad Arkansas State played us close so we can have things to work on in pratice! Cult McCoy: We knew Arkansas State was a good team and we knew they were going to give us all they got. (Cult looked dazed & confused...you know sort like when Buster Douglas knocked out Mike Tyson). So we as UT fans will all just have to grow some thick skin and stand by our team. EVERY team has bad eggs and skeletons no big program is immune. If you don't like people s!@# talking UT then you probably need to go to another blog, because there are plenty of ou fans here to dish it out. Stick around though 'cause me and Tom could use some help. And I'm not sure out team is gonna help out. Sallie once again good post #20. And I couldn't agree with you more about TCU, makes me wonder if they keep winning if the big 12 would reconsider because they ain't goin' no where any time soon. It's a shame aTm schedule is so tough because that's a good team. I like Mike Goodson that dudes got some wheels. If UT and aTM played Saturday I don't think UT could pull it off..I'm thankful the ou and aTm games are later so UT has some time to get right. K-State is not too far off and that's gonna be a game. Doggone it, He might call himself BEVO BOY...But when he is done talking to me with FACTS he will be called BEVO MAN. I have noticed since I joined this blog if you come with facts the so call fanatics will stay away. Yes OU has lost 18 time more against ut. Yes ut will have the largest stadium in the Big 12 next year. Yes ut have had more arrest than OU this year. Yes ut have scheduled more inferior teams in the near future than OU. Yes ut has fewer National Titles than OU. Yes ut was desparate in the 70's and hired Darrell Royal a former Oklahoma player and Oklahoman. Yes ut is overrated. When ESPN praise ut, the fans gloat. When ESPN see the truth in their overrated behinds, fans claim ESPN don't know what they talkin' about. These are FACTS so OU RON let's see how BEVO Boy or any dopey ut fan who don't have knowledge respond? Take care. It sounds more like the Tasmainian Devil and Porky Pig having a conversation. The excuses are old now. Just tell the truth...you thought that Arkansas State was going to roll over and you thought you could just give 50%. TCU probably will get 'em. Easy boys!

Hey I need an Aggie to back me up in here! As a fan from Texas (the state not the school) and the Big 12, I actually prefer to see tu over OU. But lets face it, TX looked embarassing. ATM's score looked better than the actual game and stats. ATM's performance was not impressive at all. The only big 12 south school to take care of business was OU. I had three calls from tu friends today that were worried about the last regular season game this year. Don't fret yet. First game of the season.

Big 12 south is supposed to be great historically. OU aside, we were not impressive Saturday. The real test will be miami at OU (lucky its a home game), TCU and TX, and ATM at miami. I think that after these games we will know where our respective teams stand for the rest of the season.

HAHA Michigan! Gig'em Appalachian State, and God bless the Aggies.

Hey Lennie thanks for the invite but I will be at the game. I will be at all the home games. Looks like Bevo Boy ducked on out, and it's up to me and Tomcat to carry the banner. Facts are facts and I don't know which is more important to fans UT over ou by 18 games or ou's 7 NC to UT's 4. As far as I'm concerned I'd rather have more NC, but it's nice to say that UT owns ou all time. As far as Coach Royal is concerned I don't care where he came from. I want to win, I'm about to speak UT blasphemy but when the day comes and Brown leaves if UT hired Stoops, I think that would be great. I want to win, and if it takes a rivals ex coach to get it done then whatever. You play the game to win and I like people who are committed to winning, coaches, owners, AD's. When Wade Phillips leaves Dallas and if Jones hired Andy Reid I'd be excited ...he knows how to win. I like Jerry Jones he's committed to winning...he's a weird old man but he wants to win. Now I like winning honestly, no grey areas. Anyways take care all..GO HORNS!

Hey Bobby go right ahead to the game. I plan to go see OU at BU or OU at TA&MU live next year! I like to bring up Darrell Royal when I hear ut fans talk about hatin' Oklahomans or OU "stealing" texas players. That's how this rivalry got "heated". OU beat texas 6 straight so ut AD went out and hired Darrell Royal so OU said forget it and started recruiting in texas. Most ut fans don't know the reason why OU recruits in texas maybe they don't wanna know where Darrell Royal came from or played for!

    Lennie

OU recruits in Texas because there is more talent in Texas than there is in Oklahoma; not because UT stole a coach from OU.
The UofA also recruits in Texas. Not because they stole a coach from us, but because there is tons of talent there.

Here comes the nonsense again! Rammer Jammer how do "you" measure talent or the size of it? If you gone say texas is bigger as in state size then Alaska as more talent! I am SURE SURE SURE California, Pennslyvania, Florida, Ohio, and others will disagree with you as well! It is your opinion and yours only. If I say I don't think the SEC is the toughest then the name calling begins. YOU as well as others gots to realize not everyone wanna to be like Mike(Michael Jordan). Some wants to be like Larry Bird, Earvin(Magic or Tragic as I call him) Johnson, Julius(Doctor J) Erving, and so forth. In other words we got our own opinions or ideas. I asked on another blog about what makes a conference tough and I believe Tampa Hurricane came with FACTS. If you go by wins since College football began and total Championships then the SEC is left out. I believe there is no "tough" conference because each conference has great and terrible teams in it. Mississippi State did not look so "tough" against LSU. And I feel bad for Coach Croom because he was put in a no win situation. I think race has something to do with hiring and firing coaches PERIOD. I do not see the Irish faithful calling for coach Weis butt yet even though Ty Willingham had a better winning percentage and higher graduation rate than the coach before him and probably after him. So you gots you opinions that I can see and hopefully I can have mine without being insulted!

    Lennie
The answer lies in the population, and popularity of high school football.

Even though Alaska is bigger than Texas area wise; Alaska does not have anywhere near the population that Texas has.
    You want facts?
    Texas Population: 23,507,783
    Oklahoma Population: 3,579,212
    Alaska Population: 670, 053

Now, by looking at these numbers and taking in to account the popularity of High School football in Texas; where do you think the majority of football talent will come from?

You managed to cover race, the SEC not being the strongest conference, Tampa Hurricane, and Michael Jordan all in one rant. Where did all of that come from? Especially the part of me realizing that not everybody wants to be like Michael Jordan. Say what????

BTW- The only name I will ever call you is Lennie, unless you want me to call you something else.
And don't be ashamed of stealing talent from Texas; almost every other university does it.

Ranting I am not. I have lived in Austin since 1995 but since 1993 all I hear is that texas has more "college" or "NFL" because of the "size". I used all the "ranting" to say we all have different opinions. If I not mistaken ESPN had a thing on their College Gameday stating most players in the NFL comes from the state of Florida! And my take on "stealing" players from texas. Believe it or not but all high football players do not all want to go to texas or texas schools. If texas loses recruits it is usually because education or football wise maybe texas or texas colleges don't have what they looking for. I don't steal.

Lennie, how can you argue that Texas doesn't have more high school talent than Oklahoma? It's not anything about Oklahomans or Texans or how well either play football. It's just that there's like 7 times as many people in Texas as there in Oklahoma. Of course there's gonna be more recruits to choose from and thus more good recruits. Oklahoma probably has the same number of high-caliber players if you look at it proportionally, but Texas is richer in talent because there's more kids that play football there. Texas has more talent than Florida too, just 'cause it's got more people. Not that it even matters, anyway...it's all about where they end up, dontcha think?

I don't care what team is it or who they're playin, they have be doin somethin right if they can when a game. From the wise words of Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game." Correct me if I am wrong, Texas is 1-0, right? I'm not saying that they didn't play poorly, I'm sayin that they had a bad week but pulled out a win. As to the ut- tcu game, don't you think texas's first game showed them that they won't just win by showin up? And your supposed facts are wrong, Darrell Royal was hired by ut in 1956, not the '70s. I figured that most people should figure out that he had to be hired before 1963 because that's when he won his first national championship at ut. Hook 'em horns.

Also, I ain't Longhorn, I just thought that the picture was funny. It's like how some people make fun of Mack Brown because he cries before every game, but he has a very good reason. He lost his grandmother, his father, 11 tamu players and an alumnus, an old high school teammate and friend, and one of his own players, all in five years. You might wonder why he cared so much about the tamu players, but he knew most of them personally. He cries because he doesn't want to forget any of those people so makes time to think of all of them before a game. Some people would say he's weak for crying, but it makes him stronger. In remembering them, he remembers what they taught him, and can learn from their mistakes. If you think that's funny go ahead and laugh, but you can't deny the man can coach.

Hey Bevo Boy I don't understand the question but I can tell if OU wins they win and they lose they lose. I been on the blogs for probably a month. All the comments I read ut fans make about OU fans and football I can see it here in ut and Austin. I moved here to Austin and the first thing people told me is "Football is Religion here". I don't know about you but people turn to religion for a better understanding of life. I can tell you right here so make a note of it that if OU loses that is a reflection on the team and coaching staff. When OU or a fan of OU in this case does something IT IS AMAZING how some of these people are quick to judge. I am almost sure that most of them never been to OKLAHOMA. I noticed and maybe it's me that Kevin does not post negative press about ut. I am POSITIVE if he did ut fans let alone texans will be doing the exact same thing. As far as the TCU and ut game...I hope and pray to the LORD above they play their best. If TCU wins then there will be no excuses. I have been here in Austin since 1993 and every time texas lose there are EXCUSES. Even when Ohio State beat them last year all I heard was Cult McCoy is a freshman...too much pressure. But the same sports announcers were stating how great he was weeks before the game. I am like this now...this is getting silly. I am not here to show you or anyone that OU is this or that. I have come with facts and all I hear is opinions or name calling. I still think ut will lose to TCU and if they don't then that is cool because they will be undefeated when they face OU and if OU wins they will not admit OU was better it will be excuses, PERIOD!

I don't have anything against anyone on this blog including you. I can look GOD in the face in say it in TRUTH. But I will strike back when insulted. If I am wrong I will apologize but I will defend myself. If you were in front of me I will say the same things but I will never and have never put my hands on anyone when it cames to sports. It should not even have to come to that. I am having one of my friends, Michael, over tommorrow to watch the TCU and ut game and he is a diehard ut fan BUT he is also one of my CLOSE friends. We know that our friendship is more important than these football games. So that where I stand and I am sticking to my predictions. BE COOL and remember this is only entertainment.

Believe or not, I do have a close friend who likes ou. We aren't as close as we once were, but that has nothing to do with football. He would give me a hard time from 2000-2004 and I've given him a hard time the last two years. I know it's just entertainment, but what is the point of watching if you don't care about it? I didn't make excuses when Texas lost those five games in a row, but I couldn't hear the end of it when Oregon got both of those two bad calls (yes, i admit they were bad calls). I just think that even if it was an away game, if they were the better team it shouldn't've come to bad calls deciding the game. You can make a similar argument about what happened to ark. st. against ut (i finally found a good review of the game), but the fact is that they had other chances to shut out the game when they had the lead, and failed. I know not every fan is like that, but fans of every team will make excuses as will players on every team. Don't try to make it sound like it only happens at ut.

Bevo Boy you still have not read all my comments. It is fact not my opinion when ut loses I have never heard Whack Brown admit the the winning team was just better. Last year after the Ohio State game he even said the pressure was too much for Cult McCoy. Was the pressure too much the week before? When they lost to Kansas State and Texas A&M it was injuries. When OU lose I have always heard OU coach say it's on me! We were outplayed, outhustled, and outcoached. The media hype him up after that Oregon lost and he scheduled a news conference and stated we were up by 13 we should not have let it come down to that. It was strange after he made the statement it was not mentioned no more. I watch it cause it is entertainment. I have friends that will back me on this. OU lose life goes on for me. You can enjoy the game with insults and violence. If it was announced OU would never play another football game oh well life goes on for me. If it was mention ut will never play football would you respond that way? So all you ut fans read this...OU went through a lot last year. If the same happened to ut most would make excuses if they would have lost. OU still overcame and was crowned Big 12 CHAMPIONS! Come with facts on that!

Lennie, read comment #68 carefully. Then answer this: Where in that comment do I say that coaches on every team make the excuses? I said that players and fans make excuses, but OU most have done enough complaining anyway if you're right in saying that Bob Stoops put the blame on himself because the refs for that came were still suspended and received death threats from OU fans. Some coaches make excuses and others won't, but ALL of them still think of the excuses. Those who don't say anything just feel that the media will blow it out of proportion if they do.

The crap that happened to Boise State last year is for the birds. Congratulations to the Broncos, the real, undefeated 2006-07 national champions. You just say that ut makes excuses for every bad move and act like ou wouldn't be caught dead even thinking of an excuse. Yet as I was watching the ou vs. miami game, I heard the commentators talking about how ou fans and players made the excuse that losing to miami 3 years in a row prevented them from having 3 more championships. Bob Stoops might not be making the excuses, but he's letting others do it for him.

As to what you said in comment 68 Lennie, OU did NOT win the big 12 last year, Texas lost it. When Colt McCoy got hurt last year Mack Brown made the entire team pay the price for only playing Jevon Snead two series before that. The FACT is that OU didn't play their way into the BCS, ut just played out of it. I know Mack Brown was listening to the statement "if you have two qbs, you have zero qbs," but he even put the blame on himself for not getting Jevon more experience when they looked to him to play qb. Mack did not make excuses. He said it was a clean hit that ended up hurting Colt. Let me repeat that for you Lennie, MACK DID NOT MAKE EXCUSES.

By the way, Lennie, did you watch the tcu vs. ut game? Yes, the ut offense game out flat but they were dominant in the second half against tcu, which has been the best run defenses in all of college football the past couple years (going 21 straight games without allowing a 100 yard rusher, that is, until they met Jamaal Charles). They defense also just allowed 60.9 yards per game against the run. They were also good against the pass last year, though not dominant like they were against the run. McCoy showed that he hadn't lost his touch throwing the football, either, especially with that 33-yard touchdown pass to Nate Jones and throwing for 239 yards overall. Those two picks showed he's still got some things to work on, but he settled down in the second half and led several long drives. You said you wanted facts, how's that?

First of all, who calls the Big 12 OU and the 11 dwarfs when three other teams are ranked in the top 25? But let's get on to the OU game. I only watched the first half, and I know that they played a lot better in the second half, but how can a defense that is supposed to be top of the Big 12 give miami 2 new sets of downs when they would've had to kick a fg? I thought that the second pass interference was questionable, but they still shouldn't've committed the first one. Those penalties led to the only miami td, and from what I saw ou looked solid other than that drive. I know the rushing statistics weren't great, but I believe that a big part of that was a botched snap to the punter that started miami in the ou redzone (though the d did well to hold 'em to a fg). It seemed like it was just a couple a bad plays that let miami score at all because they had to have help to get into the endzone on their one good drive. It's lookin like it should be quite a game in Dallas this year.

Hey Bevo Boy I am just having a hard time forgiving ya. When you got on this blog you ask me about the ut/ASU game and what happen in regards to da sco. Next thing I being called a hoe and OU this OU that. I guess I was expecting an apology but I guess I was wrong. Hey if you want to think Arkansas is a second rank team that is your opinon. Arkansas will not even finish 5th in the SEC! I notice again the critics coming out about OU & UM. Now that ut has played 2 good quarters of football ut nation, most anyway, think ut should be ranked #1 and eveyone should bow down and worship 'em. That show probably was live on Thursday but you know what I don't care. Even though OU played well against Miami...LSU is the only team I would say is playing National Title ready. USC was favored by 45 points over Idaho and did not cover the spread. They did not drop in the polls. I am now more convinced that the polls and BCS are gone make sure that USC is gone be one of them! To sum it up, we got our own opinions and thats just it OURS. I am not here to sway anyone to be OU fans or hate ut. I will say it again read all the statements for you start to try to attack. If you want to think you are giving facts then you are but I don't have to agree with and I WILL SAY IT AGAIN YA DON'T HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME. Life is gone to go on!

First of all, I thought I did apologize, but if I didn't, then sorry for that mistake, too. With Arkansas, it doesn't really matter how they do in SEC play, all of the critics seem to believe that a 5-3 conference record in the SEC is the same as an 8-0 record anywhere else. I don't agree with that logic, but the fact is that RIGHT NOW Ark. is a good team and deserves to be ranked.

I didn't think it would happen again this year, but I'd say that UT overlooked UCF even after they beat 'bama. Since they barely escaped over Ark. St. I thought that they would make sure that they were prepared for everybody, but if UT keeps thinkin too much of themselves or too little of others, they could be in for a long season.

I figured you out Lennie...you sit and wait watching the home page waiting for a UT fan to post so you can jump in and post one of probably several pre-scripted comments. Hey Lennie I just read that someone thinks USC is gon' win it all, and in that same post gave no respect to ou...you better go get them Lennie..it's injustice if I ever saw it! don't forget about a ut insult when your there!

Bobby it seems every time you open your mouth it's an insult. You can't brag on how "dominant" ut has NOT been so you gots to talk non-football issues. You want me to say something negative about ut so you can counter! You try to break down OU's good season so far like a drunk jealous Jimmy "The Geek". After ut blows out Rice you will be here BRAGGING on how great ut looks and they are ready to play for the National Title. If you say something "negative" about OU it should be gospel and if I say something negative about ut it's 100% insanity speech on my part. Okay Bobby I got ya'. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I notice you and some not all of the ut fans on this blog were talking about Barry Switzer and his OU teams being "thugs". Ain't it strange that what ut fans said about OU under Barry Switzer is now coming full circle on ut! Behold...another ut player arrested after Whack Brown's ZERO TOLERANCE speech. It's funny Bobby I was listen to 1300 the Zone. Those same sports announcers that were quick to put the blame on ol' Barry are now quick to say "You can't blame Mack". What a double standard! I have already figured you out Bobby, I even gave you the benefit of the doubt. You play yourself off to be sincere but you are just angry that OU is in the spotlight and ut isn't. You can call me names all you want but it's true. I don't jump Bevo Boy and I just make fun of Tomcat because of his silly rants. So go enjoy the Rice and ut game and we will read ya' Saturday Night convincing us ut is back! Remember ut and OU are BOTH favorite by 38 points over their opponents. ut I feel want cover the spread! Remember it's nothin' personal...it's just football!
