Texas to Politic, Pander and Plead for a Split Title?

I admit it. I thought Ohio State had them, and there was a momentary sigh of relief from knowing that we were going to avoid what we all knew was going to happen if Texas won that game--that the lobbying effort for a split title--especially with an Oklahoma win against Florida--was going to make even K-Street in Washington, DC blush. Hell, maybe even Mack Daddy may place a call to former Texas congressman and house majority leader Tom Delay to get the skinny on the best lobbyists in the country...

So now it's coming, and we all know it. How hard is it going to be to wrest a dissenting vote away from the AP poll, who split from it's affiliation with the BCS after the Auburn debacle in 2004? Either way, we're bound to see some passionate arguments formed--and to the betterment of college football in general. I'm going to be a fence rider for a while. Time for you to chime in with your thoughts on that and the game in general...
