University of Spoiled Crooks?
BoiFromTroy takes Pete Carroll to task following the fourth recent arrest/incident of a USC football player.
So this is the fourth brush-in with the law of current USC players in the last few years. It seems discipline is Coach Carroll’s number one weakness. On the field, it shows up in the form of stupid penalties, and off the field, it results in LAPD investigations.Though only one of the four is currently playing–Winston Justice–USC needs to get it into their players’ heads that they are under greater scrutiny because they’re playing for a dynasty and that things like assault, or battery, which may get overlooked as dumb jock behavior at, say UCLA, will get you in trouble and on the front pages of the Sports section.
Dynasty after dynasty has gone through a fall from grace brought on by their own ego and sense of invincibility. Miami, Florida State, and others have gone from dynasty to laughing stock as their players grew more & more bold in pushing the limits.
BoiFromTroy is spot on - if USC doesn't address this now, they'll be the University of Spoiled Crooks.

Totally over blown story. I bet you can go through all 117 teams in the country and gurantee that at least 80 percent had one guy arrested for something. Besides 4 is nothing compared to the 17 that both Tennessee "Alcatraz" Vols and South Carolina "Shawshank" Cocks put out this year.

Not that it matters (I hate the Trojans), but this stuff does happen everywhere, and isn't any indication of anything out of the ordinary.

Carroll says that Maualuga will still practice with the team and will dress for this week's game, despite the arrest.

It's not the fact that USC is winning games that upsets everyone; but the fact that they don't play anyone until the national championship. USC will continue to go undefeated every single year as long as they're in the pac-10. Just watch, USC will go undefeated next year and most likely get blown out in the national championship just like they will this year against Texas.

Wait a damn minute they weren't blown away in the title hunt two years ago, or last year. Where are you coming from with this? And please tell me how is USC supposed to join another conference when they're practically just an hour off the Pacific Ocean? You know "PACIFIC 10"? That's for Universities near the Pacific Ocean!!???? Bring up some facts. BTW, Oregon who only lost one game this year, has been robbed by the BCS again. One loss!(To USC) 11-1 and can't get to a BCS Bowl. What about Cal the year before? ONE LOSS and NO BCS but plenty of BS!

Winning isn't everything, integrity still matters. They need to drop the hammer on these guys.
