USC nabs another WR transfer
You have to hand it to USC Trojans coach Pete Carroll - he is not afraid to stockpile talent.
WR Jordan Cameron - who was released from his BYU scholarship this spring - has committed to USC.
Cameron - 6'5", 225-pounds with 4.56 speed - will likely play tight end in the Trojans offense and have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2007 season.
"A lot of different coaches told me that I have huge potential in football and that I could make a career out of it. If I have a possible career in this sport, I need to give it a shot and see where it will take me."Once I got my release, USC, UCLA and Michigan started to show more interest. They'd come by my old high school and watch me run routes.
"After going through that process, I set up a meeting with Pete Carroll at USC today. After talking with him, I made my decision to commit. It all went pretty quick."
Cameron, who also played basketball for the Cougars, will not look to get a spot on the USC basketball team and will focus on football full-time.
