Pete Carroll will not get you a date with a movie star

USC head coach Pete Carroll got punk'd during yesterday's media call by a garlbed-voiced questioner who wanted to know how far the Carroll went in helping his players land dates with Hollywood starlets.

About 20 minutes into a call with Carroll, someone who identified himself as associated with a fake website asked Carroll in a garbled, if almost drunken, voice whether he rewarded his players by setting up dates with various Hollywood starlets.

After asking several times for the imposter to clarify his question, Carroll, remarkably, answered it, explaining that matchmaking is not in his job description.

The caller got off a follow up question about a certain brand of condoms, prompting Carroll to end the call with his assessment of the caller's intentions.

"Good job, Ohio State."

Childish? Definitely, but... from a recruiting standpoint... you know those USC leans are wondering the same thing.
