Vick arrested for brandishing firearm
Marcus Vick turned himself into authorities in Suffolk, Virginia today after an incident Sunday evening. The parent of a 17-yeard old claims Vick pointed a firearm at her son and two others following an "altercation" outside a local McDonald's.
Vick was dismissed from the football team at Virginia Tech over the weekend for driving with a suspended license in mid-December and for stomping Elvis Dumervil's leg in the Hokies' bowl game. Vick already announced he was entering the NFL draft after the dismissal which followed a trouble career in Blacksburg in which he was suspended for an entire season.
Vick is being held on $10K bond and faces up to a year in prison and a fine of $2,500.

Good Lord. How stupid can one person be?
Not our (VT) problem any more, but the guy doesn't need to play football. He needs help.

Can we all say, the Maurice Clarett of the 06' draft? What a waste of talent. I already know how this is going to end. I predict a 5th round pick. However, he will not make the roster, and end up in jail, end of story.

Yep! This dude needs his melon downloaded to the "Center for Brain Cell Dysfunction". Something definately went wrong "up in them thar hills". Seriously, the only thing that it can be is drugs. Either Crack or Meth or something to that effect. Nobody goes off the deep end like this guy has unless he has a serious monkey on his back. He can't even get drafted now. Nobody will touch this psychopath. Hope that the courts can get him into some kinda of a program. But, he's gonna have to come clean, admit he has a problem, and ask for help. That's a tall order for somebody who is that immature.

I actually hope that Vick does give up football for his own personal sake. At first I ho - hummed the Lawrence Phillips - Maurice Clarett comparisons, but now I am really starting to worry about the young man; that if he continues he could either get himself into serious trouble or cause someone serious harm. Maybe he should just move in with his brother and life off his money until he figures out what he wants to do with his life. The young man needs to start over, and away from the fastlane of big time football. Perhaps being passed over by the NFL draft will get him to realize that.

I don't dislike VT, my brother graduated from there, but this young man needs to seek some professional help. This problem goes way beyond immature and impulsive. He is just another one of a long line of thugs that have been given everything in life because they are a great athlete. It isn't going to get better. TO, Clarett, Iverson, the list goes on and soon Marcus will be among the unemployed out there. Would you give him a job???

Could he do anything more to ruin whatever small chance he might have of quarterbacking the Rhein Fire next summer? What's next for New Mexico?(as Deadspin has dubbed him) Could a tape of him beating up puppies be far off?

Yeh, they probably still got him penciled in as #9. But, hey, maybe that's what you guys need up there. Instead of your QB getting the crap beat out of him all dayum day, maybe you guys really could use a gunslingin' QB, who's not afraid to get out there and mix it up with them 350 pound corn fed quarterback killers.

This is another sad case. As a afro-american, Marcus Vick is apart of a bigger problem. These problems steams from lack of Fathers in household, negative rap music, etc. Marcus Vick tried to live the studio gangster image, and look what it cost him. millions

Maurice,
I live in the inner city of Baltimore... and not on the "white side " of the tracks I may add. I agree there are huge problems facing today's youth. However, Marcus made his own bed and there is absolutely nothing and no one to blame but him. He was given every imaginable opportunity, including a big brother who gave him a name before he had to make one for himself. Vick pissed his future away all by himself. In fact, he really is over-rated anyway. As I've argued all season, little Vick is a good QB... he is no where close to being a great QB. He can't handle pressure and he's nothing without his line protecting him. In my opinion, he was lucky to get the love he did. I'm just happy and grateful Vick no longer represents the Big East.

It's time that ALL athletes are held accountable for what they do. I don't think they realize that the youth of this country puts them on a pedestal. If they don't care, they should not be given the opportunity that they have. Guys who go to work each and every day know what it’s like to bust our tails to squeeze out a living and make sure we are employed to provide for our families. This punk figured since the college game ran him off that the big money pros were waiting to throw cash at him. I say here and now to all pro GM's: DON'T SIGN him. Make a statement. PLEASE!

Beamer's gotta take a little heat on this one too. After Vick and his thug buddy got some 15 yr. old girls drunk, naked, other stuff, then took pictures, they got slapped on the wrist and given their uniforms back.
Everybody loves to rag on Miami for being thugs, but that mantle has passed.Stewart said:

I think we are all being way too reactive here. Marcus Vick is a nice guy caught in a conspiracy to ruin him. Virginia Tech only takes good quality characters into into its athletic programs.
Why would a fine man like Coach Frank Beamer care so deeply about someone like Marcus if the media has made him out to be bad guy? It is clear to me the media is out to get Marcus because they are jealous of his talent and athletic ability. The immense sadness I saw in Beamer's face suggested to me that he was going to resign after the horrible treatment VA Tech gave Marcus. This is America. We all deserve a second chance. It is not like Marcus murdered anyone or had an affair in the White House with an intern!! C'mon!! Lighten up !
I think Marcus will be a top five draft pick and will have a successful NFL career. Marcus has much more talent is a much better athlete than his brother Mike.
God bless great young men like Marcus Vick.

America has always put athlets on a pedastel. They are allowed to get by with doing things in school that no one else can. The teachers and other faculity members just turn there heads or scramble to cover up any mess made by them. Other children have to suffer there abuse because they know there is not thing one anybody is going to do about it. Of course they are going to think they can do what ever they want when ever they want, because that is what they have been allowed to do ever since it was discovered they had athletic talent. You add huge wealth to that and you have a mess in the making. Yes, it is Marcus that is responsible for his actions and knows right from wrong, but why shouldn't he think he could get by with what ever he does, after all hasn't every one went out of there way to see that he got just that. I am in no way upholding any thing he has done, I am just saying I think it is time we look at the part we play in contributing to the problem. When you treat someone like a god, then expect sooner or later they are going to act like one.

Whoever said Marcus Vick is a psychopath is probably right.
look up the defintion for someone with antisocial personality disorder, and you'll see that repeated criminal acts is one of the main criteria.
Vick says he's trying to find god. But if he really is a psychopath, he will likely to continue getting into trouble.
