WVU escapes ECU
The West Virginia Mountaineers escaped with a 20-15 victory over the East Carolina Pirates at Mountaineer Field today. The Mountaineers scored all 20 of their points in the first half. The Pirates were held scoreless on 4 trips into the redzone in the first three quarters.
Adam Bednarik and Pat White each threw for a touchdown for WVU and Antonio Lewis scored on a punt return. WVU's QBs gave up 3 interceptions and a fumble while Pat McAfee missed two field goals and a PAT. It was the first time in 4 seasons that the Mountaineers failed to score in the second half.
The Pirates scored with five minutes left and missed the two-point attempt. They got the ball back two more times after that and failed to score. The Mountaineers, who face Virginia Tech next week, only managed to gain 127 yards rushing the ball.

EER14- You are a complete moron. Enough Said!!
Explain one thing to me: What does having a job have to do with WV's football blowing a fat one? Maybe one day your beloved Mountaineers can grow up and play in a real football conference. In the meantime, you guys can keep nursing your record with South Florida and Cincy.

ECU has improved I will give them that, but WVU turnovers must stop. It was a very uninspiring win, they did not play well..at all. Looking forward can kill you (Va. Tech). Speaking of Va. Tech, if we keep turning the ball over we will have major problems, they will eat us alive. We must pound Gwaltney and get to Vick, I think our "D" can do it. They like to punish people and it shows. It is to bad this is the last game between the School's. This has been more of a Back Yard Brawl than Pitt in recent years... Its always National, always Big, and always Nasty !!
thats college football. GO EERS !!! Stay focused !!
