Why is this incident considered worthy of posting? While the USC "Commando Song Girl" story is at least humorous, this is plain disgusting.

What's the big deal? Reggie Ball did this to the GT offensive playbook for the past four years and no one bothered to raise a stink...

Now, if the guy was a WVU fan I think we'd see a little old gold and blue on him at least?

Perhaps, it was his ex- girlfriends seat and she of course is in the GT band???????????

Can someone prove its a WVU Fan please! Also this VA Tech Grad. Please! Hokies arent the best of people either.. But its college fb! Sounds like they had to find something to complain about. TWO GA Universities now have lost in TWO straight bowl games.. Going all VA Tech home games against WVU I would have to say it was enjoyable how classy Hokies Fans ARE! LMAO! This frustration should be taken out on the irresponsible players and coaching staff. "Study" and u might have your other 50% of the starters allowed to play..

    (1) The Guy reporting the claim is GT Fan.
    (2) His Girlfriend or Wife is VA Tech Alumni
    (3) GA Tech Lost
    (4) No Proof its a WVU fan. Although 95% of the Fans were WVU. How sad is that when GT campus is so close.
    (5) IF it was a WVU fan and I was GT Alum i would be more upset of the so called players shi..ing on their teamates and not studying.
    (6) It was a home game for GT. Is that fan base that small?
    (7) WVU 38 GT 35. Im sure their players know exactly what 35 is. EXAM Grade..LMAO

It is obviuos that this isolated inncedent does not truley reflect the image portrayded by the great majority of WV fans.
This guy probably has mental problems as well digestive ones.If this individual was really this intoxicated I'm surprized that security did not arrest this guy, or at least escort him to the nearest exit, prior to the alleged incedent.

Face it, every school has some loser fan like this dumbass. If I had actually gone to watch my Ducks in the Las Vegas Bowl while I was in Vegas, I probably would have shit in my own seat.

Needless to say, this guy needs to make it right with the Band and also needs some serious counseling.

This is either an isolated incident or just one big dumb-a$$. Also, this is the only place I have heard of this incident and I receive the Charleston (WV) Gazette every morning and listen to quite a bit of espn radio while at work. I need more back up before I believe this is true. Every college has its share of loser fans, In 1986 in College Park MD a drunk Terps fan hit my mild mannered girl-friend in the head with a beer bottle for just cheering after a TD. However three other Terp's fans jumped the guy before I could get to him and the cops took his bleeding a$$ away. There are bad eggs everywhere.

I was there and this did not happen, there were plenty of drunk WVU fans but this did not happen.

From my seat I could plainly see where the Ga Tech band was sitting and if somebody were to pull their pants down it would have caused a stir.

As far as Virginia Tech goes, I have been to Blacksburg to watch WVU games many times. The first was in the late 70's, Virginia Tech fans were alright back then because WVU always beat them and they expected to lose.

After Nehlen got Va Tech in the Big East back in the early 90's their program got better and as you can see on the field they began to recruit thugs, their fans changed also.

I was at the last Big East game between WVU and VaTech in 2003, VaTech was undefeated and ranked #3 in the nation, there were VaTech fans everywhere and nobody showed them any disrespect outside of some drunk students shouting bad things about chokies before the game. After the 28-7 thumping Tech took on the field and after Beamer assaulted one of his players on the sideline all you heard was how bad the Tech fans were treated. I was there, the only mistreatment of Tech people was on the field and it was very bad.

The next year in Blacksburg, the first non Big East game between the 2 Tech won 16-12. I was threatened, had to dodge stuff thrown by drunk tech fans and wasn't sure I was going to get out of there. All the things tech fans say happened to them and didn't in Morgantown happened to me in Blacksburg.

Look at VaTech's conduct on the field, their fans conduct is the same.

This is a fabrication by a VaTech fan. VaTech has a complex because UVa has the states backing and is considered the number 1 team in the state, the players they bring in continue to embarass not only them but the entire ACC.

    Did not happen.

    re:#13

I wasn't there and have no clue as to whether this really happened or not, but I tend to believe that you are correct. Those photos linked up under "eyewitness report" then in turn linked at
http://picasaweb.google.com/THWUGA/WVUFanInTheGTBandSection in the (linked) story is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. That's supposed to be "proof" that some guy took a dump?? In a court of law, those pics would be thrown out so fast it isn't even funny. Talk about inconclusive evidence. All they are is evidence of a guy in the bleechers at a football game. This entire thread is a waste of 4 minutes of my life.

I attended gator bowl games every yr. no matter which teams were there. I didn't where GT colors when they played ND but I did pull for them to win.. The guy is a local!

    (9) Yes every school has a retard like this guy! GT and VT needs to get over this one.. VT is mad because WVU has bragging rights for beating a better SEC Champ team in GA home field last year. Also WVU has beat their so called ACC runner-up.. Gotta Hate something!

@badgerballer - They guy got arrested when the cops came down there. What more "proof" do you want, man? There was this guy, these pictures, and a pile of crap. If that's not probable cause, I don't know what is.

Mr. Donahue not only has a propensity to generally portray WV in a negative way, but also did little to research the validity of this posting by the so-called GT fan. THat has become typical here.
There is nothing in the photo work here that concludes this occurred on Jan 1, 2007 at the Gator Bowl or that this is, indeed, a WV "fan".

Can't find anything on the police blotters regarding this incident or any arrest made. Maybe he wasn't arrested, but rather left to drown in his own vomit outside the stadium. I'll check the obits!.........I can't imagine how all these GT fans and could just sit by and watch this idiot without showing a little school pride and confronting the idiot, if not trying to stop him. Most bands have people, faculty, or other members who keep watch on their things and seats while the band is not sitting in their respective area. This guy appears as though no one minded him being there.............hmmm.

I was jealous that I didn't get to travel with our FSU football team to their bowl game, so me and some other FSU band members decided to go to the Gator Bowl. If you think what I did was so bad, then someone should have taken pictures of our flute player Maurice who visited the WV sidelines at half-time. Let's just say that wasn't all gatorade that got poured on Coach Rod at the end of the game.

No WVU fan would defend this guy, IT DID NOT HAPPEN. If somebody removes their pants in front of 70,000 people there would be a commotion. What more proof do we need you ask, a little more than some guy saying "There was this guy, these pictures, and a pile of crap" and then quoting him as saying "y'all ain't got no proof I did nothin". That is a dead giveaway right there that it is a fabrication, hard to get anymore stereotypical than that. If this had happened it would show up more than just on that web site.

Post #29, thanks for researching this, you say there was no arrest. If you pull down your drawers in front of 70,000 people you are going to the pokey. There, Mr. Kevin, is all the proof I need that it did not happen.

I am sure an apology is forthcoming and we will probably accept.

No worse than Virginia Tech fans hacking big goobers on West Virginia fans, is it ? or the VT fan on this very blog last year threatening to burn children from West Virginia. I have been waiting for you all year to get your little dig in on WVU fans, where have you been bro ? Chill out, its a pile of crap from some nut bag.

YJacket says: Mountains and caves, very funny. Know how to win though, don't we ? We acted fine at the Sugar Bowl. Had a good time party with the Dawgs ! You guys were just plain rude at the Gator Bowl. Thank god I only saw two (2) of you at the game, way to travel. I had to threaten to slap the moron in front of me for talking smack to three little Freshman girls from WVU. Took a big man to smack talk three young girls. His girlfriend finally got him to leave, she made a very good decision. Had not one problem at the Sugar Bowl with the Dawgs, and there were a heck of a lot more of them.

The dude was probably too drunk to make it to the latrine, or figured that it was gonna be too overcrowded, and was already feelin' his cheeks quivverin'. Therefore, he slighly snuck down into an open section, and took his seat in immortality. Everybody gets they're fifteen minutes of fame. Don't ask me how I know.

At least WVU hasn't had their own police chief say he wouldn't take his own family to home games (that happened at UGA) after fans urinated on opposing fans.

    badger post #48

There was no arrest, Fan of the game post #29 looked for the record.

If you do something like that you will be arrested as you should be, the fact that there was no arrest is proof that it DID NOT happen. What part of DID NOT do you not get.

If there was an arrest it would have been posted here as well as the bogus web site. I will say the Ga Tech fans I saw in Jacksonville, all 4 of them, were good people and if anyone crapped in their bands seats he needs help for his mental and alcohol abuse problems and you will not find anyone in WV that would defend him.

    Agreed...

It usually takes a week or more for arrests to show up in the crime log of a daily newspaper...

And even then, it more than likley would be listed as a public intoxication charge or indecent exposure...

Again, I'm not saying it did or did not happen or that an arrest was or was not made. I did, however, check the local law enforcement (Jackson ville/ Duvall County) blotters for arrests made between 1/1/07 to 1/4/07 but found nothing that would match an arrest made on a person of his description for disorderly conduct/public indecency/public intoxication/ or anything that could be remotely constrewed as defecating in public. I haven't thoroughly checked the local media releasd blotters, only the local govt. and law enforcement blotters.

@Kevin #50 - OK, I am patient. Again, I was there with my wife and 8 yr old daughter, me nor my wife saw anything close to a commotion that would have been caused by such an act and we had a great view of the Ga Tech band.

If this is true, and it is not out of the question for someone to be stupid/drunk enough to do such a thing I just think I would have saw something. My question is how long until you call this a hoax?

I have seen WV fans do some pretty stupid stuff and at away games I have seen opposing fans act just as ignorant but if this had happened there would be more reliable proof than what you have, read the guys story, it is absolutely ignorant and doesn't match. All his pictures are above the alleged perpetrator but he stated he was below the band area and his seat was in the lower level. The Ga Tech band was in position on the field however there were members left in the stands for him to tell about what had happened.

90% of college football fans and probably everyone on this board are respectful of their opponents, the other 10% do not exactly exercise good judgement. Unfortunately everyone has their share of that 10%.

This story is a complete load of crap so to speak. There is no proof in the pictures and it was posted by a pissed of GT fan who can't handle that WV won. Done Bye Bye

I swear this elebenantue guy is not using real words.

I don't care if this happened or not. If it did, and the perp was arrested, I say make him help clean the stadium, for free. He didn't just allegedly show disrespect to GA Tech, but to the Gator Bowl and their personnel. I am disappointed with the "walking stereotype" crack. One idiot hardly represents a group as a whole, especially given WVU showed tremendous fan support at the game. No doubt there were plenty of drunk & disorderly Techsters there, especially after the game. It wouldn't surprise me if a few (WVU fans included) pissed on stadium walls or sidewalks. While this is hardly an excuse, they no more represent GA Tech, than this alleged idiot represents WVU.

YJ: It seems you're stuck on this "cave" thing. You need to show a little imagination, like still huts or something.

porkalope: Having lived in Morgantown for over 8 years, I can tell you with confidence West Virginians know what a bathroom is. There are at least 3 outhouses on every block, guarantied.

Kevin: Freedom of the press aside, my opinion, this was a dumb post. How about trying this one on for size. I asked this question in one of your earlier blogs. With Boise St & OSU being the only undefeated teams in the country, if FL defeats OSU in a low-scoring, unimpressive affair by three points or less, could/should Boise St be crowned National Champion? I already know what the FL guys are going to say, but look at what Boise has done throughout the year, the teams they've beaten which went to bowls and won. I think they have a case, and I'd like to know what everybody else thinks.

    A little logic should prevail.....

If you review the pictures, you will find none that show this alleged fan in a squat position. He does appear to be "Sitting," however, this is not a good position in which to relieve ones self. And if he were to squat long enough to deposit a gift for the band, even the worst camera would have enough time to recharge allowing the cameraman enough time to truly "catch him in the act."

Another thing.... What information does Donahue have to confirm this persons allegiance? Seems to me to be a Raiders fan or perhaps an AC/DC fan. Clearly he is no fan of WV.

Donahue.... you have succeeded in getting attention. Now, please, move on and do something more productive with your life.

Kevin Donahue, It's now 5 days after the fact, all I see are some blurry pictures of a guy moving around in the (a) band section at the (a) football game. Would you please acknowledge that this post was, er' is "crap" that some sore loser made up. This is way beneath you and this site!

This is the 7th day, time to declare this a hoax.

This would take a very sick individual to do something like this and an equally sick individual to think of it so I am not surprised that 2 ACC fans were involved.

They also claimed to be college grads which I doubt but if they were it would have to be from an ACC institution, where else could you find a college graduate that stupid.

If this is true it could honestly be one of the funniest stories I have ever read. During the original post the author asks "What is it with crapping on the bands?" I say to you sir, why not crap on the bands. In the immortal words of Homer J. Simpson, "It's funny on so many levels."
